The Precision Irrigation Project attempts to access the feasibility of implementing a machine vision system to automate furrow irrigation.

Feasibility Study Goals

• Implement a software vision system to track the location of multiple waterlines as a field is irrigated
• Determine the tracking accuracy and precision of the system
• Use an inexpensive web cam for image capturing

Camera Resolution

The field of view from the web cam varies with the height and angle of the camera.
